I saw some chaos among the crowd below a lamp pole opposite to Vashi Railway Station. People were bending and picking something and discussing that thing among themselves. I got curious and walked near the crowd.

Does everyone need to wear masks? How much protection does it provide?
It is impractical for everyone to wear masks. If you are not sick you do not have to wear a mask. If you are caring for a sick person, you can wear a mask when you are in close contact with the ill person and dispose of it immediately after contact, and cleanse your hands thoroughly afterwards.
If you are sick and must travel or be around others, cover your mouth and nose. Using a mask correctly in all situations is essential. Incorrect use actually increases the chance of spreading infection. N95 masks which have a triple layer protection are the only masks which can provide some actual protection against H1N1 but they are not easily available. A handkerchief is a good alternative. Fido Dido is a cartoon character created by Joanna Ferrone and Sue Rose. Rose first developed the character in 1985 on a napkin in a restaurant. Fido Dido was licensed to PepsiCo in around 1988, but the character did not receive much attention or popularity until the early 1990s on numerous products, particularly stationery.
